Raspberries...

I just learned how to blow raspberries....and I do it all the time. Oh, the reason I am moving a lot in this photo, for some reason I love to kick my left leg - which moves my whole body.

Who do you think I look like?

The maternal side of my family has some pretty common facial features that run in the family. My sister got some parts of it, but everyone says I have it full force. Some days Mom thinks I look like cousin Ethan and some days like Uncle Eric. I look a little like my sister, but not so much. Who do you think I look like?

Two! Dylan's Birthday Party...

My friend Dylan turned two years old this week and he had a big birthday party. I thought it would be fun, so I convinced Daphne and the fam to go with me. While there, everyone was eating food and cake - and my sister was playing with toys. (Of course) But she came up to me and asked me how old Dylan was turning. Here's a picture of the event as it was happening...And here is a zoomed in version of the photo. I was clearly holding up two fingers, showing Daphne that Dylan (who is the little boy in the photo too) is turning two. I'm a big boy! I'm wearing my Oshkosh outfit that my friends Noah and Levi bought for me. And don't forget my Keds tennis shoes that help me stand up! (I'm pretending that Dad isn't helping hold me up....)

We've got lots of friends with Birthday's in January. There's a full list on Daphne's blog. Sorry if we forgot your birthday - if we did, leave a comment here or email my mom....

Daphne...sharing?

Having a big sister can sometimes be ....interesting. I think she forgets I'm still a baby, that I'm only five months old. Most times she doesn't want to share with me, but somedays she shares...too much. Like the day she tried to share her cup and Cheerio's. Sure it was nice, but I couldn't do anything with them....

Meeting Hannah

I have several girlfriends, but Hannah is my newest one! She's so cute! I just met her the other day and we already have held hands! (Don't tell any of my other girlfriends!)

Thankful Tuesday

Maybe because I'm a boy...or maybe because it's still pretty new to me...but on this Tuesday I'm thankful for FOOD! I love to eat - and since I only get about two ounces of infant rice at dinnertime; I scarf it down. I'm getting really good at eating it, too. When I see the spoon leave the bowl, my mouth is open and ready! And in two weeks I go to the doctor for my six month check up, and I hope she gives my parents the A-OK to proceed to baby puree!

Fussy

I've been really fussy today. No one can figure it out - Dad thinks I might be getting ready to get my third tooth. Mom thinks I have a little chest congestion. Daphne thinks I'm trying to steal attention from her.

Really...I'm just upset that it's Monday night, but there is no Heroes on TV.

Thankful Tuesday

This may sound a little "cheesy" but my mom's coworker does this on her daughter's blog - so my mom is forcing me to start it. Each Tuesday, I will make a post were I say something I am thankful for....

This Tuesday, I am Thankful for.... a loving family! They always pick me up and cuddle me when I am crying.

Clothes...

Boys and girls should not share clothes....but since I seem to growing too fast for my clothes - occasionally I have no choice but to wear girl clothes. At least my parents are nice and only put the ones on me that look neutral... Take this sweater and hat combo... Here is Daphne at 11 months old...
And here I am in the same sweater/hat at 5 months....Speaking of clothes, it's strange how things fit. For example, because my legs are so long - I have to wear size 6 months to 9 months pants. But my waist is too skinny for them - so skinny you can just pull them on and off without doing any buttons or ties. But most of my shirts are still 3 month size. Don't let my full face pull you astray (yes I know my cheeks are chubby) the rest of my body is really skinny! What's more strange, today Daphne and I both had on blue striped shirts (hers had silver glitter stripes too to make it girly) but they were both 6-9 month size! (Yes my sister has a strange body too when it comes to clothes)....

Bumbo Growth Chart - Month Five

Five months old! Wow.....where did the time go? I feel like I was just born!!! As tradition goes, as my month birthday comes, so does my Bumbo Growth Chart photo...

And here is my Growth Chart for all the Months so far...

Merry Christmas! (late in Iowa)

Even though it was January 2009, we went to Iowa to celebrate Christmas. I'm still pretty young - only five months - so the Holidays weren't too exciting for me. I didn't really have any clue what was going on. I just wanted to make sure a bottle came my way every few hours and that someone wanted to hold me. And don't worry, both happened. I got some wonderful gifts, so thank you everyone for those!!!!!!!!!! My family really loves me. I enjoyed some time with my Great Grandma H. She came over for dinner and loved hugging me. She held me and let me play with toys (I'm starting to grab at everything and anything that is in my reach).

And then we went over to Great Grandma C's house. She was impressed with how strong my legs are!And I showed Grandpa how strong I am - I tackled him and pinned him down. Buffy was my cheerleader, egging me to keep him down for the count!
Soon I got pretty tired, and when I woke up, we were back at Grandma's house. I found a blanket and started to play. And next thing you know, Biz was by my side! Biz is Grandma's new puppy. She's a standard poodle, so I understand she'll be pretty darn tall before we know it!
But the worst moment of the whole trip - my mom got on film. Of course.... My big sister got a tea set as a toy....and she made ME have a tea party with her. Geez Louise. Why do I have a feeling I might have a lot more of these until I have my own say so???

Happy New Year!

On New Years Eve, my family went to our friend's house....and the guys out numbered the girls big time. Not good for me if I wanted to kiss a girl at midnight. Our friends have four sons - Mcalister in the high chair - he's a month older than me. Meyer is in the light colored overalls, and he a week older than Daphne. Myles is the one "mooning" the camera - he'll be 5 this year. And Max is in the chair - he'll be 7 this year. Oh, then Matt and Dad are around the table too. So just Mom and Alison are missing from the photo. Happy New Year!!
