Four Teeth!

I forgot to mention something big....over the last two weeks I've been teething... My grand total is now four teeth! Count them up - one and two on bottom, three and four on top! The two on bottom have been in almost two months and are pretty much fully in. One on top has been in maybe two weeks and the other has just broke through this past week. Great timing since I'm really eating now!

Sick....

Please keep me in your prayers.... I'm sick. Daphne started it (sounds like I am practicing that line for all the times I will use it later in life, but this time she really did start it.) She got a cold first and then I did. She started coughing and then I did. She got a runny nose and then I did. She got a fever and then I did. (see the pattern?) She started wheezing and then I did. She started meds and then....I didn't. Wait, huh? Oh, there are all these rules about babies taking cold and flu meds. So I got to do something Daphne didn't. I went to the doctor. They put me on two things - one is pink and tastes really good. The other is clear and tastes like Ophelia made it. Yeah. So please pray for me so I don't have to take these nasty drugs anymore...

Where are the Royals?

I need to have a word with my family... I live in a town where the city is not exactly known for it's baseball team (unless we travel back in time Lost style to 1985). Despite that fact, we can't be fair weather fans and not sport anything blue come spring time.... So I hang my head in shame at this photo - Rockies and Diamondbacks? Really? I guess Uncle Eric would be proud (he got that shirt for Daphne). And Grammy/Gramps would be proud (they bought the D'backs shirt for Daphne, but it's been past down to me due to size). But still - really no blue? I know for a fact that I have two Royals onsies in that drawer of mine MOTHER. Please get them out and put them on me!

William's First Birthday!

My cousin William just turned the big ONE year old! So Aunt Leah and Uncle Brandon gave him a big party. Lots of William's friends and family came over for the party. I had to go, because here in a few months, I'll be turning 1 and I wanted to see how these parties worked. Not too shabby if I do say so! Grandma was there, of course, and she showed off the cake to William before all the guests arrived.

William just wanted to play with me the whole time though. He had to hold me on the table, because he was scared I might fall. We just kept playing, and finally I told him he better play with some of the other kids, too, because I didn't want everyone to think I was hogging the birthday boy.
And then Lauren wanted to hold me. I know she's my cousin and all, but I think she's cute. She was one of the first people to get me to smile. Well, or the first documented smile on camera at least.
Soon all the festivities wore me out and I had to go down for a nap. But at Aunt Lou Anne's house, the best and darkest place to sleep is in the theater!
While I was out for the count, William tore into his cake. He got about two bites in and then got a little excited and kicked up with his legs.... Which in hindsight made a funny situation. The tray and the cake went flying! And sadly, the cake landed icing down on the floor. Good thing they only gave him the cake topper and not the whole cake!
By the time I woke back up, most of the guest were leaving or had left. So then Grandma wanted to get in some photos of all three grandkids. But we didn't want to do that. So Grandma got us in bits and pieces.
First just me, then me and Daphne.
Aunt Leah had a real photographer there, and maybe she got a good photo of all three grandkids. We'll see. All in all, it was a grand party and I think I know what to do come July and it's my party!
One side note - Grandma has been saying for months that I look just like her brother Jeff when he was a baby. So Aunt Lou Anne pulled out this family photo... What do you think - do I look like Uncle Jeff?

By the Numbers...

I almost forgot... On Friday I had my 6 month doctor check up - which meant shots. Greeeeeat. I just "adore" getting shots. Anyway. I thought I would give you my most recent numbers.

Height: 26 inches (breaks down to 40% - about average)
Weight: 16 pounds (breaks down to 25% - below average)

This is a little surprising to me. At my 4 month check up, I was in the 90% for height. So I must have had a growth spurt just before that visit. And I must not have grown in length since. And I'm shocked I'm at 25% for weight, because as you can see in all my photos, I have quite the round face. But my arms, legs and body are pretty skinny....

Brother vs Sister

Brothers and Sisters have an understanding - we love each other but we have to pick on each other to keep the balance. Here's the proof - she tries to take my toy.... I bop her on her nose.

Messy Me

Since I turned six months old, my eating habits have grown vastly. Included in my diet now is some real food! But beware - whoever is feeding me normally gets a little dirty too. And my entire face tends to get covered in food... Being clean must not be my strong suit...

Digital Camo's

My big cousin Ethan is in the army and got me my first set of camo's for Christmas. But they were too small and I had to return them for a bigger size. I just got the size that fits on Valentine's Day, so I wore it around town. First as we went shopping to get my sister her birthday gift...

Then after we came home, I relaxed at home in my new Digital Camo's before getting my diaper changed. And I wore them when I did my daily workout. I'm building my leg muscles....look at me standing!

And I was wearing my new Camo when I realized that Daphne had left her precious new Tia the Turtle unattended. She sure looked soft - I want to chew on her!

New Girlfriend Elise!

As if on cue for Valentine's Day, God gave me a new Girlfriend! Her name is Elise and she was born on Feb 13th! We went to visit her in the hospital and I already have quite the crush on her. (even if she does have more hair than me!) Look how smitten I am already...

Grandma and Me

Last weekend Grandma came down to see me! Yes, she came to see me. I'm pretending that whole big deal with Daphne turning 2 years old wasn't the reason Grandma came to visit. Nope, she came to just see me.

Where's the Beef?

I'm ready! Bring it on!! Sirloin, ribeye, t-bone, anything. But all I got - a lousy carrot. I mean, I know I have red hair, so how cliche is it that my first real food was a carrot? I ate the orange mush without a fight, only because I know it's one step closer to that beef... I'm salivating now.

Two peas in a pod??

This photo only needs one word for a caption: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which way to the gym?

Been working on my muscles recently. There's a bunch of cute girls at Miss Samantha's house, so I need to show off for them. Two of my work outs include:
1) Holding my own bottle when I eat... This takes a lot of arm strength, builds my forearms as well as my biceps.
2) Working on my six pack abs! I do this by sitting up on my own. Normally it only lasts anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds, but I'm getting there! See the concentration on my face?
Oh man!! Mom, turn off the camera!! I can't let anyone see how I failed this workout!
(At least my sister was there to soften my fall....)

Bumbo Growth Chart - Six Months

Can it really be? Am I truely six months old now? Where did the time go? Just the other day it seems like Jesus was telling me it was time to be born and now I'm already six months old! Time sure does fly!! I wish I could tell you my specks - but my six month doctor check up instead until I'm seven months.... You see, my sister turned 2 years old a few days after I turned 6 months. So Dad made our appointments together - and the first time they had two back to back appointments available was still about a month away. At my four month check up, I was very tall for my age, and average on weight. We'll see how I stack up now! Needless, here is my most recent Bumbo Growth Chart photo. (Yes, I suck my thumb...a lot...)

Ironically, all six of my photos can be grouped with the photo in the same column... In month 1 and 4, I'm wearing green and white and showing much emotion. In month 2 and 5, I'm wearing brown and off-white. And in month 3 and 6, I am sucking my thumb while pondering life and looking to the side. (Actually, in both of these, I was watching my clumsy sister falling down most likely).
