3 cm Small

My mother had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I am still measuring 3 cm small. In case someone doesn't know - each doctor visit the doctor measures the length of the pregnant belly. The number of centimeters the belly should measure should equal the number of weeks pregnant. Since I was about 20 weeks along, I have been consistantly measuring 2 to 3 cm smaller than I should. The doctor never was worried about it, but now that we are approaching the scheduled c/s (28 days away!!) the doctor is showing some signs of concern. So next Wednesday they have scheduled a sonogram to look at me. There's nothing to worry about as far as I know, but I'll post an update after we know a little more. Especially if it means the date of my arrival to be changed...

37 days left!

For anyone keeping count - 37 days left until my big arrival!! Well, the planned one anyway. I haven't decided yet if I might surprise Mom and Dad and Daphne and come early. That might be funny, too, since I hear my parents talking all the time about what my name might be - and they can't agree on anything!!! I hear several repeat names, but they can't quite decide. Dad likes one combination and Mom doesn't like the nickname it creates. Mom likes one combination but Dad doesn't think it's quite right. Then Grammy calls me every name under the sun!

When my mom was 8 and a half months pregnant with my big sister, she took this photo of herself...

So for comparison sake, she tried to re-create it. She is even wearing the exact same shirt! She's gained a little more weight this pregnancy, but everyone is telling her that is normal with baby #2... But measurement wise, I'm still measuring two to three centimeters smaller than I should. Which could mean one of two things... I'm going to have my Dad's body and be a small boy - OR my due date is off a week or two. The doctor doesn't seem to be concerned that I measure small, and they are keeping the July 29 scheduled C-Section date! So here's my mom at 8 and a half months pregnant with me!

Dad finally felt me move!

The other night Mom went to bed, but I wasn't quite ready yet. I'm a little cramped in this small space, but I've figured out a way to do summersaults. So I was doing them over and over and over and over. Then suddenly the space was gone!! So I took my elbow and pushed really hard on the hard spot. And it pushed back! So I pushed back. Then I heard this noise, "Did you feel it?" Yup, that was mom's voice. Then I heard, "I do feel it!" That was dad's voice. Then the hard spot was gone and I was able to do my summersaults again.

I also think it's funny that my sister likes to lay right on top of me too. She'll lay right across me, which makes it really dark in here. She's not very nice, either. She kicks and pushes. Just wait until I'm out of here, I can't wait to kick and push back on her!

At my mom's last check up, she had lost weight. But the doctor seems to think that is okay. And I'm measuring two centimeters smaller than I should, but the doctor doesn't seem concerned with this either.

July 29th is fastly approaching!!!! I can't wait to get out of here and stretch out my legs!

Seven Months

I'm seven months in... A few more to go and I'll be making my big entrance into the world. Since my big sister decided she wasn't ready to come into the world, she forced my mom to have a C-Section. The doctor group won't let my mom attempt a VBAC (vaginal birth after C-Section) so she has to have another one with me. They gave her four possible dates to choose from - July 23, 24, 29 or 31st. My parents talked it over and the 29th is the best day to give my dad the most days off work to spend with my mom, sister and of course ME! So they are going to try and get that all set up.

So it looks like I will be born on July 29th! (Unless I play the rebel role and decide to come earlier!)

I also decided to give my mom a break from all that throwing up. So I stopped pushing that button that says in big bold letters, "DO NOT PUSH." And she's not gotten sick in almost two weeks! She's much happier now. And even though I've got that big ol' placenta thing in front of me, I'm getting bigger now so she's finally starting to feel me. Dad hasn't been able to feel me yet, but the doctors said that's normal since that ugly placenta thing is in front.

I'm a BOY!!!

It's official! Obviously I've known all along I was a boy, but no one else knew until today my gender. My size is perfect and I'm right on target for an August 1 due date! Here are some of my sonogram photos from today!!!
Here's a nice profile shot. My forehead is on the left, then you can trace down to the right over my nose and jawline. Mom thinks I look similar to my big sister Daphne's sonogram profile shot.
Here's the money shot ladies! First and last time I'll ever post a photo of my "junk." But I'm proving I'm a boy!
I might get called a "ninny" for this photo, but I was laying there with my legs crossed very content! You can clearly see both of my legs here!
And I'm at a complete loss what this photo is... Anyone with sonogram experience know???
Hope you enjoyed my photos!

One Week until the Sonogram!

Exactly one week from today is my schedule sonogram so that Ian and I will know if we will be having a baby brother or sister for Daphne! I'm starting to get quite excited and even dreaming about the sonogram! Even though I thought I've been showing for some time, people are just now starting to see my baby bulge. I'm still sick, but at least it's not daily anymore. I might get sick only once or twice a week. And for some odd reason, I am only sick on days I get up before 6 or 7am. Too bad a job and a 13 month old running around prevent me from sleeping later than that!

One more week to find out!!! What is your guess????? BOY or GIRL?

Kicking!!

Hello everyone! This is Shelley posting today. I'm officially 14 weeks along, but advance each Friday. So in three days I'll be at 15 weeks. For about two weeks now I've been feeling the new little baby kick, kick, kick away!! It's been so wonderful to know all this morning sickness is helping him/her grow strong!

One night the kicking was so strong I just KNEW Ian would be able to feel it. I put his hand right on top of the kicking, but he couldn't feel anything yet. Hopefully soon.

I've also heard the heartbeat at my last appointment and the doctor said everything sounded perfect! My sonogram is scheduled for March, and I can't wait to find out if Daphne will have a sister or brother!!!!

By the way, just like we did with Daphne, we'll gladly share the sex of the baby, but the name will be a secret again. And yes, we've already got a few in mind, but so far not agreeing on anything!
