Kicking!!

Hello everyone! This is Shelley posting today. I'm officially 14 weeks along, but advance each Friday. So in three days I'll be at 15 weeks. For about two weeks now I've been feeling the new little baby kick, kick, kick away!! It's been so wonderful to know all this morning sickness is helping him/her grow strong!

One night the kicking was so strong I just KNEW Ian would be able to feel it. I put his hand right on top of the kicking, but he couldn't feel anything yet. Hopefully soon.

I've also heard the heartbeat at my last appointment and the doctor said everything sounded perfect! My sonogram is scheduled for March, and I can't wait to find out if Daphne will have a sister or brother!!!!

By the way, just like we did with Daphne, we'll gladly share the sex of the baby, but the name will be a secret again. And yes, we've already got a few in mind, but so far not agreeing on anything!

I have a heartbeat!!

Hello!! New baby here! I'm 13 weeks in uterus now and I officially have a heartbeat. Mother was at the doctor office the other day and got to hear it. I must admit, it filled her heart with glee to hear my little heart. There is nothing quite like the swish, swish, swish sound of a heart through that little machine.

And scheduled for March is the big ultrasound. They all hope to find out if I am a boy or a girl, but I might be feeling ornery that day and keep my legs closed! Wouldn't that be funny!

Another baby on the way!

From this point forward, this blog will now be documenting Daphne's little brother or sister. Until they are born, I'll be typing posts from my perspective. Occasionaly Daphne may grace us with her typing as well, but mostly it will be me. She'll let you know if it's her typing.

Once the baby's sex is known (around 20 weeks gestation) they might also start typing as well.

Right now I think I'm around 9 weeks along! And sick as a dog.....so keep me in your prayers!

The Blackboard

From the Blackboard's Point of View:

Hello, I'm the Blackboard. I live in the kitchen of a house of three red heads. Since I'm at the top of the stairs, everyone passes by me several times a day. But I think only one of them truely loves me. The tall female... She is the only one who ever takes the time to draw on me. She even painted me. Even though the tall male did make my frame... I felt naked for some time before I had my frame. The little redhead I am sure will love me one day, but so far she pays no mind to me.
I try to lend a hand to the entertain of the house. I allow the tall female to do all sorts of creative things on my black background... From strange letters, numbers and shapes...
To word puzzles when hosting events at the house.
I help announce upcoming holidays and events such as the Plaza Lights... And baby arrivals...
Or helping to celebrate another baby. A curly redheaded female comes to the house, and I heard she is pregnant, so I am helping her celebrate as well.
I'm good for the family and I help celebrate guests. Maybe one day more people will love me...

I will survive!

Bumbo Point of View:

Hello, I'm the family Bumbo chair. I'm a pale shade of green, a nice neutral non-gender specific shade. One of the red heads I live with is a little girl named Daphne, and I've been with her since the beginning.... Through her first smile captured on camera... To vacations in Michigan and Indiana...
To her first meals (and note I am being used against the warning label in this photo)...
To even Daphne's first bonfire...
I've been there with Daphne the whole way. And I hope to one day be there for other little red headed children to provide a place for them to sit before they can sit on their own...
So to the Bumbo Recall announced today, I will survive! And I will provide a safe, snug and cozy enviroment for children of all ages (6 weeks to 14 months that is).

New Blog - First Post

Turk's Point of View:

Hello fine new readers of this new blog! Not sure when anyone will see this post because it could be months before my owners publicize this new blog. From the rumer mill running around, the blog might not ever be open for business. But in case it ever does, here's my point of view.

I'm Turk. I run the show around here. People think I'm dumb, but it's just a show. I let people THINK that about me. I'm like Oz behind the curtain, I'm pulling the cords, turning knobs, pushing buttons. Everything that happens in this house is because of me. That's right, you heard it here. But don't go telling anyone. After all, that broad Ophelia thinks she is running the show. Daphne thinks she is running the show. Shelley thinks she's running the show. And Ian thinks he running the show. And what do you know... They are ALL red heads.

I'm surrounded by red heads.

And I'm running the show. And I keep the intruders out.
